Registers of Scotland (RoS) is responsible for compiling and maintaining 18 public registers relating to land, property and other legal documents in Scotland. We’re an organisation with centuries of history, but a 21st century mandate to be an effective digital first asset for Scotland. Recent targets and developments include completing the digital land register, transforming land registration through improved digital services, and ScotLIS, our new land and information service that facilitates public and professional access to comprehensive data about any piece of land or property in Scotland.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual who will address the requirements for us to meet our contribution to Scottish Governments Environmental targets and 3% efficiency target as indicated in the RoS Corporate Plan. The role will deliver our ‘required reporting’ in line with Climate Change legislation, through development of a carbon management plan (CMP) and annual environmental reporting, along with operational resource efficiency projects across energy, water and waste materials, working closely with our FM service providers, Real Estate service provider and other external specialists whilst being an effective member and contributor to the wider procurement team.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of RoS’s sustainability and climate change actions. This is a high profile post within the Sustainability and Procurement section and involves working with colleagues across all directorates, senior managers, accountable officer and key external stakeholders.
